Are there any waiting lines?

There are no waiting lines for dental implant surgeries in Nordimplant clinic. Surgery can be performed at a time which is convenient for you.

Should I consult my doctor before?

It is encouraging to consult your doctor before you leave for treatment. Most doctors know the main concept of medical travel so their advice and critical sum up of your personal case will surely make the situation clearer.

When the payment should be done?

You do not have to pay anything until you meet your surgeon personally.

How much is the first consultation?

It is absolutely free of charge. The only thing you have to do is to contact us and describe your case and your expectations. We may only ask for some additional information so that the surgeon could analyse your case in greater details.

Are there any age limitations for dental implants?

No. Any person at any age can have dental implants. The only age related factor is that the patient‘s jawbone should not be growing anymore after the surgery.

How painful is it to get dental implants?

Dental implant placement causes very little discomfort compared to other surgical procedures. Of course the more involved the surgery is, the more discomfort there may be. If bone grafts or tissue grafts are performed along with the implants there may be slightly more discomfort, but still only minor. The pain is easily controlled with over the counter analgesics such as ibuprofen.

How long does the implant last? What factors contribute to long-term success of dental implants?

The average duration of dental implant is 40 years.
Long-term implant duration depends on multiple factors such the quality and quantity of the bone, experience and ability of the oral surgeon, and the proper maintenance of the implant itself.

Does insurance cover the cost of dental implants?

In general, dental implants are not covered by dental insurance. Coverage under your medical plan may be possible, depending on the insurance plan and/or cause of tooth loss. Detailed questions about your individual needs and how they relate to insurance should be discussed with your dentist and insurance provider.

How can I be sure that the quality is not lower than in Scandinavian countries?

Our oral surgeon is a graduate in odontology at Kaunas University of Medicine, the member of the International Team for Implantology and Baltic Osseointegration Academy. The surgeon speaks fluent English and Russian and can give you consultations by phone if you have any questions. What is more, you can ask for direct testimonials from our customers.

Why Lithuania, as a pretty new player in the World market of medical tourism, is reliable, comfortable and worth to be chosen as a medical tourism destination?

- Lithuania is very flexible in order to penetrate into the market

- Lithuania offers many different places for health recovery, sightseeing and activities

- Lithuania is easy to reach – 3 international airports, small country, you can drive across the whole country just in a few hours.

- Lithuanian climate and geographical location is not troublesome – it is a save, clean and an up-to-date young Christian country located in the middle of Europe. Lithuania is a member of European Union and NATO.

- Lithuania has world class surgeons as well as clinics, and the prices for the same medical treatments are 3 or more times lower than in western countries

Why is the price of medical services much lower in Lithuania?

Firstly, it is because of cheaper labour force in Lithuania as hourly wage in Lithuania is usually much lower than it is in Scandinavian countries, Great Britain, Germany, etc. Secondly, the professional liability insurance is much cheaper here in Lithuania thus healthcare does not have to pay so much for insurance companies as it is usual in other countries. However, the quality does not suffer as our clinic uses exactly the same dental implants (Straumann and Biohorizons) as Scandinavian and Western countries. Moreover, price differences in Lithuania can be found in all other medical services too: costmetic, obesity, various knee, hip and foot surgeries.

How much is it possible to save while choosing medical services in Lithuania?

According to statistical data of Lithuanian Private Health Care Association, prices here in Lithuania are 2 times lower than in Western countries depending on procedures. Your savings depend on the amount of procedures you plan to have there. However, even including your plane tickets and accommodation in Lithuania you may save a substantial amount of money.

What about experiencing language problems?
